Fetal Heartbeat and Pain Sensation
In this installment of Fact Check Friday, Dave takes a look at a controversial topic: Fetal Heartbeat as the determining factor for the cutoff of abortions. We look at the neural connection between the heart and the brain, and determine if the heartbeat should be the main factor in determining the maximum time period for allowing abortions. Dave also gives an assessment that pain sensation should be the requirement for the cutoff for abortions at 24 weeks of age. This is in line with federal precedent that week 24 as determined by the Supreme Court should be the maximum age allowed.
